Water Heater Repair & Maintenance
Water heater repairs can vary in severity from a simple fix to a serious electrical issue. Some of the issues Bell Cow regularly performs repairs on include:
- Leaks from the tank
- Water temperature problems, including loss of hot water
- Rust-colored water
- Off-putting odor
- Electrical problems
Bell Cow has the solution to all of these concerns. The first thing our plumbing technicians will do is perform a diagnostic of the system and determine the cause of the problem and the age of the unit. It is important to know that preventative inspections are available year-round from Bell Cow, so if you would like water-heater-peace-of-mind, let us know.
Some important questions that we will ask:
- Is the unit still under warranty?
- Has the unit received regular maintenance?
- How long have the problems existed?
Please note that if your water heater is leaking, or rust-colored water is present, call Bell Cow immediately. A leaking tank with an inoperable drain pan can create water damage to carpets, floors, and walls. Rust-colored water could point to an internal breakdown of the components within a water heater that keep the water clean.
Routine maintenance on a water heater can extend the life of a unit. As part of a Bell Cow Plumbing Maintenance plan, we annually flush the system to remove any sediment, pressure test the relief valve, check and adjust the temperature, and inspect the operational effectiveness of the gas supply among other items (for gas systems).
